70s Physics Team Coach Vintage T-shirt (unworn)

Can you just imagine the glee in the hearts of the students who presented this gift to their Physics Team coach?

After months of training and competing and learning formulas together, they came up with a present that he would be sure to love.

Would he wear it to school? To mow the lawn? To the grocery store?

Nope. The tags are still attached. He wore it nowhere.

You can change that! Give this shirt a life. Physics Team Coach 70's vintage t-shirt on Etsy.

- Some Nancy Drew research indicates this shirt is likely to have belonged to Mr. Moore, the science teacher from Zionsville Community High School, Indiana.

Behind the T-shirt: Tillie the All Time Teller

Florida National Banks' Tillie says, "I'll make your life easier."

Who is Tillie?

She's the ATM.

(via Wells Fargo History Blog: Tillie the All Time Teller)
First National Bank of Atlanta  was concerned that the relatively new automated teller machine (ATM) it introduced in 1974 would appear cold and difficult to use.

In those days, customers were accustomed to walking inside a bank and chatting with a pleasant teller. So First National named their ATM “Tillie the All Time Teller,” and put the face of a smiling blonde girl on the front of the machine. “Tillie” looked inviting to customers and suggested that the machine was highly user-friendly.

Did it work? In a word, yes. Tillie launched one of the most successful ATM systems in the banking industry.

This particular shirt says "GO GATORS" on the back. Yay unnecessary punctuation!

What the Flock...and Stencil

Sometimes I find blank vintage t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Sometimes I iron flock letters onto them.

I just started printing some with vintage stencils.

THAT BITE WAS BIG.

This story behind this shirt begins with a 4 year old girl by a campfire.

She had a s'more.

Her uncle asked for a bite.

She hesitantly agreed.

He took a bite.

She yelled, "THAT BITE WAS BIG!"

A Look Inside the Skippy Haha Vintage Warehouse

skippy haha vintage warehouse

when you are offering 1000+ completely different items for sale, how can you keep them organized for easy retrieval?

my preference is by color - rainbow order!

on the left are the golf shirts, sweatshirts, and sweaters.

on the right are t-shirts.

roll-up bamboo shades keep the sun from fading, and dust from settling.  in front of, between, and behind all piles are cedar blocks for fresh scent and insect repelling.

puffy jackets are hanging under the rainbow sheets on the right.

i have another closet upstairs dedicated to windbreakers, track jackets, and western button down shirts.

i spent 5 years of my adolescence working at a gap kids store - if there's one thing i can do it is fold a shirt into a regular rectangular shape!
